This is our state-of-the-art analog symmetrical interconnect cable with exactly matched 110 Ohm wave impedance. It is engineered around large 1.00 mm2 BRC conductors and FTDA® damping method. A conductor free floating in a viscous longitudinal cotton fibre surround with high mechanical decrement provides efficient vibration absorption by as much as 50 times and extends the dynamic range to previously attainable level. The revised SATI®/SDB insulation/binding combination steps down the common-mode component distributed capacitance, decreases relative permittivity and signal energy losses within the dielectric. The enhanced X-Shield® SE, imported from our top-of-the-line Ultimate range, provides superior EMI suppression especially at LF and virtually eliminates electro-dynamic noise, generated in the shield. The Reference MkII IC is jacketed with highly elastic thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) Elastollan®. Developed by BASF, it provides unrivalled dielectric long-term stability, mechanical strength and efficient absorption of acoustic noise and vibrational loads. With the advanced complex insulation, conductor damping and shielding attributes the Reference MkII IC is now finely tuned. It balances a breath-taking analytic definition with unfailingly precise, accurate timbre, tonal balance, transient impact and immediacy. Excellent shielding makes the Reference MkII IC an ideal solution not only for AV equipment, but for professional recording studio applications, as well as for ultra wide dynamic range sonic- and ultrasonic frequency measurement systems.

Due to the cable construction complexity and excessive material consumption the initial burn-in period (time during which the best sonic performance is reached) is suggested as 100 hours of uninterrupted music playback at least. We highly recommend playing music of different genres.
